Another shot from the second grade writing celebration.

Does the fact that the little girl is looking at me ruin the shot?

I can almost hear some of you saying "no, but your title does" :)

I had forgotton the joy associated with being told it was my turn to get my coat. This shot reminded me of something I had totally forgotten. Thank you, Liz.

"Does the fact that the little girl is looking at me ruin the shot?"

    It's what makes the shot.

No problem with the little girl looking at you, but for my taste, this one is too blurred and busy. I definitely know what you were going for, but...mwink.gif

Classic. Good capture of the girl turning to look, and IMO the motion is within the context of the picture.

A timeless capture -- this could have been fifty years ago and the sense of moment was as you posted.

    Thanks JP,
Good to know it brought back some memories for you. I know what you mean, I sometimes will buy a new composition notebook because I still remember the feeling of new school supplies and the excitement of getting to write in my new notebook.
I wonder when the excitement to get your coat stops and the grumbling begins?

    Hi B.D.
I know what you mean, I originally wasn't going to post this shot, but something about it made me keep going back and so I had to post it.

Thanks Sword and Scales. I think the motion conveys the excitement.
    Glad you like it.

Thanks about the "timeless capture" Rainbow.
It was all I could do to get the shot--table 4 was headed towards me at a furious pace.

This captures a dynamic moment very nicely and it evokes an emotional response in me and obviously in many others. The clutter doesn't bother me here. It is the backdrop of real life for a third grader. I understand why you keep going back to it.

I think it is a keeper, especially in the context of a series.

Funny you mentioned the series Virginia, I was originally going to post this shot, the "keep your imagination" shot and one other shot as part of a series, but the "keep your imagination" shot just begged to be posted alone.

I'm glad it kind of took so many of you on a little nostalgia trip, it had the same effect on me.
Glad you like it Virginia, thanks for commenting.
