DSS#49....opinions please

Didn't think I was going to have time to shoot much for this challenge, but have managed to find some. So now I am second guessing my current entry. Any of these any good?

I really like the colors in your current entry, but yes it is not WTH. #5 really made me stop and look

Yep. #5 - looks dynamic.

#1 is definitely gorgeous, but perhaps too easy to guess. I think entries need to balance the "wow" factor the "wth" factor.

Of the others, I agree with #5. I sure don't know what it is and I like the composition!!

Thank you all so much for your feedback, it is so helpful to have other "eyes" and opinions. Virginia I agree with your statement about the wow factor and the WTH....and my gosh is it hard to come up with both!!!!!

I like your entry very much, but it's recognizable.

(I actually had the same idea, from the first day of the contest, but didn't have a macro lens )

From the others you posted here, I think #5 is more interesting.

Hi Karin, for what it's worth I think number 4.
I recognize what 5 is as soon as I looked but that doesn't' mean the judges will.

I think your current entry is really beautiful and I love the colors but 4 makes me think wtheck is it?

Thanks Kate I also think it's okay that people can guess, I'm just thinking my original entry was too ordinary, and too recognizable which kinda defeats the idea behind the theme (IMO).
I think my #5 is also somewhat recognizable, but maybe not at first glance, and certainly not an overphotographed object.

Hi Gail, thanks for your input! I probably will not use #4, unless I can reshoot and get some better focusing. I did not use my macro on that one simply because it was not with me at the time, so I may try to reshoot this with my macro and see what kind of results I can get. I think it is very different, and don't think anyone would guess what it is, so, hmmmm, I'll have to think about that some more. Thanks again!
