Thanks, This was shot with a 400mm f2.8 from a boat next to the waves.

Firstly, this was my very first big wave shoot so, no I'm not known as a big surf photographer. Would be nice though, I'd like to do more of it. How did I get myself out there? After the shoot I identified the surfers and sent them examples, and I placed the shots on Fliker and the Mavs facebook page. Then they came to me. I figured that they all had sponsors and they always need promo shots. Please don't misunderstand this as bragging but, I saw what most of the " PRO" shots looked like and I thought mine were better than most so I put them in cyberspace. Shoot it and they will come.

BTW I'm in total awe over your wrestling shots. I love them. It inspired me to try some myself. I will be shooting some soon. Hope they are 50% as good as the ones in your gallery!

No , I'm not that brave and there are only certain people allowed to shoot from jetskis in this competition. I shot from a boat that Rags recommended. Thanks Rags!
