    Nice job…

    …but I'd chop off the top 1/3rd

Don't need the tops of the buildings (lots of distortion there anyway…), and getting rid of the square format brings the crowd much more into the viewer's face!

    I really like this shot.
Going against the flow, brave man.

As for the cropping point made by Will, I don't know, I like it as is.
I like the buildings showing and the wonky distortion--it fits the scene.

I think the buildings work. It says crowded city. I would try a bit of burning to darken the buildings and sky. Without the buildings this could be a crowded mall parking lot or somewhere else entirely.

This is a great "people of NY" photo with everyone in their own little world while sharing the same space. The variety of people at different angles makes for a wonderful capture.

I can feel that rush of energy from the crowd as they part to let you through. I love that feeling. Good capture.

This is one of the benefits of being in the middle of the action and then pouncing.

Mike, your NY scapes are incredible. The pigeon flying over the empire state building is great. Is that the view from the top of the "rock"?

Yes the top deck. When someone would walk on the lower deck the birds would fly up and the come back down.

    Thanks
