This old girl is in our neck of the woods this weekend. I had heard nothing of it and a couple days ago, I was out on my walk at noon. Way off in the distance I saw a plane flying low and instantly was pretty sure it was a B17. They have a pretty distinctive signature in the sky. Then as it flew closer I was positive as I here the drone of those magnificent old radials!! I love these old planes!!
I hope to get some pics of her in the air this weekend, but stopped by on my way home a couple of evenings ago and took this shot.
I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for looking!

You know it is kind f funny. I should always have another pair of eyes look at my pics before I post them. You are do right about removing the sign. It will be pretty easy to do and WOULD enhance the photo. Thanks for the input!!

I live in Long Beach, Ca and every year we get a tour of old WWII bombers that come in for a few weeks, usually a B-17, B-24 and B-29. I see myself heading down to the airport to take some bomber pics now for sure!! They let us crawl in the planes and they also give flight tours. They take off right over my house. I suppose I will have to try to get some photos of them flying too!
Thanks!!
