Realistically, how long for Watermarks to "update"?

Ok, I finally got around to taking my giant copyright "C" out of the middle of all the photos, and am putting our logo across the bottom.
Anyway, I did all the steps to create the watermark, manually changed the settings in 1 gallery to test it (it works great).
Then I went to Settings and selected "Multiple Galleries", and then selected about 24 additional galleries with a total of a bit over 10,000 photos. I changed only the watermark (changed which watermark was used, since there was already a watermark being used).
So it's been 2 hours, and from a random check on the galleries, I can't find ANY photos that have been changed. Admittedly I checked 6 galleries, and checked a couple photos near the "top" of the gallery, a couple in the "middle" and a couple at the "end". Nothing.
So it's possible I've just not found any changed watermarks yet, and it's still "in process". It's also possible I did something wrong and nothing will ever happen. But I don't want to change the settings AGAIN until I know for sure.
So, there's the background... and my very basic question again, is "Realistically (approximately?) how long does it take for watermark settings to update?"

Then, there is a command in a given gallery in order to apply a watermark to the already uploaded photos - Tools/Many Photos/Watermarking. I don't know of a way to apply a watermark to many galleries.
Try this command on one particular gallery and see if that gets you going.

And if you change the watermarking setting in the gallery settings, it's by design that existing photos in the gallery are not updated. It's a setting that is applied to future uploads only. That's because you can have photos with different watermarks in a gallery.
To change watermarks on existing photos in a gallery, use the Tools button > many photos > more > watermarking tool.
I wish I had a better answer, but you'll have to do this for each gallery individually.
