My son acquired the shirt/tie set from my aunt who lives in England for Christmas - as soon as it was out of the box, he owed me a photo shoot in said clothes. Now that the perfect pair of shoes have been purchased, the photo shoot was completed over two hours this evening.
We picked the clothes, he picked the location (and most of his poses).
Of course, when we got home, he got his hands on my XT (with permission) armed with a 50 mm 1.8 and kept saying "Turn your head, look bored - PERFECT, Mommy!! ::click:: Man, it's over-exposed" so I guess that was his payback.

My Gallery
I shot #5 as wide as I could, to make him look sooo tiny - the whole, "It's such a big world" idea. The brick wall is about 20 feet high, he's not as high as he looks, the ground is just out of the shot.
Thanks!! It *almost* landed in the recycle bin because of that, I didn't notice it until processing time. I liked the look on his face, so we kept it.
He posed himself in most of your favorites - maybe he should come on my next photo shoot and help with the poses
And he already is a heartbreaker, I put these up on Facebook and a high school senior said "My husband is so adorable, isn't he?" - we tease him all the time about having a crush on her and she just ADORES him. There's an 12 year age gap, but my husband and I are 10 years apart, so I'm ok with it.
Angie... Laud Caesaris! I'm awed at your shots constantly. I can't figure out how *you* do what you do.
Aside from the "ballerina position" (heels together, feet in a straight line) I love it. He was too afraid of falling to point a foot towards me. The steps are half a brick's width wide, so I'm surprised he got up there at all.

That wall is amazing - what a great place to shoot! It actually took me a second to figure out the perspective (ie lying down? Standing? Trompe l'oeuil?) - it's absolutely BRILLIANT!!
Fantastic, creative, sparkly set. Oh yeah, and cute kid, too
Great, then I shot the photo the right way
I'm flat on the ground, his feet are about 5 feet up off the ground on a 20 ft wall. It isn't that big, I just shot it at 17mm for that wide open shot.
