    first one, the blur makes it look like he's on a cliff... very distracting unless that's the purpose?

    Cool shot! I like the subject isolation here. Blur to minimize clutter (?) is also a good idea. Cheers.

    Hmm...it's a beautiful pic of a child, but the abrupt blur is heavy-handed. If you really don't want us to see what's there, at least try for a smoother transition. deal.gif

    Really do like shot #1, but I think the real winner is #2. Is that Dad in the shot--if so I get the title/been there done that.
    --The comp is great too.

    Both are very nice Benjamin but like Liz, #2 is the one. I like the child's body language and overall composition.

    I like 'em both, but I prefer the un-blurred version of #1 much, much better.

    Too bad you cut the feet off in #2, but there are enough feet left.
