this was an interesting shot of a Snowy Egret - 1st is normal PP the 2nd is a water color treatment with Topaz - does it work??

something about the angle of the first shot is bothering me a little bit. I want to like the shot - it's crisp, the bokeh is good, and I like the expression in the eye. But something about the angle is a little bothersome for some reason.

As for the watercolor treatment, I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish...the blue to white transition on the wings looks a little oversaturated to me. I like the background in watercolor alot, though.

I would go with #1. I would clone out the distracting twig in the upper left. I would have composed it with the egret more to the left also.

I've tried Topaz and found that its difficult to get good results from. Usually less is more with Topaz, IMO.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
