I decided to take my friend's advice and test all my lenses against my camera bodies to see if my lenses are properly focusing.

If my 50/1.4 and 85/1.8 are backfocusing on all 4 camera bodies (20D, 40D, 5D2, 7D), can I assume it is definitely the lens?

On the 5D2 and 7D, I can set the micro-AF adjustments to -8 for the 50/1.4 and -10 for the 85/1.8, which seems to correct it.

My other lenses all seem to focus properly. Then again, it is a crude test (take photos of the focus target on the table from a 45-degree angle).

Is it worth sending the 2 lenses into Canon? What would they charge?
