batch edit exif year

Hi,
I have a bunch of photos that have the wrong year (2008 instead of 2010). I'd like to batch edit the years but haven't figured out how to yet. I've tried Lightroom but I notice two problems with it. First, even though I select mutliple photos, when I edit capture date only the first photo selected actually changes. Secondly, I believe that if I try to sync the metadata, not only will the year and date change, but also the time. Maybe in the big picture changing the time doesn't matter but still I'd like to keep it if possible.

Exifutils does batch edits of exif and xmp data. The exifdate command is probably the one you want to use.

+1 for ExifUtils. Very good set of programs.

That is awesome, thanks. I need to decide if I want to pay $30 in order to run the exifdate command one time.

I decided to use Geosetter. With it, you can select multiple files for exif editing. I then changed the year by adjusting the date by adding 730 days (2 years). This kept the day and time unchanged.
