Not sure if this is the exact place to post. If not, please move to the right section, Mod. Thanks! Before I start, I have no ties to Fry's Electronics/Patriot or am I profiting in any way by posting this. Sorry if this is a repost.
Just stopped by my local Fry's Electronics looking for an SDHC for my HD camcorder. Saw a Class 10 8GB for $14.99 after rebate. First thing that came to mind was, "Probably a lower end quality card."
So I whipped out my phone to look up reviews:
Amazon Review
NewEgg Review
Not great reviews, but for 15 bucks, I decided it was worth a try. Picked it up, attached it to my HD camcorder and all worked well. Thought I'd give it a try in my XSi as well and got an error, "Card cannot create folder" while trying to format it. :scratch After some Googling, found out I didn't have the latest firmware installed. After the firmware update, voila! Formatted and worked perfectly.
Still wanted to see if I was getting my money's worth, so decided to run a speed test with CrystalDiskMark and reported the following:

Out of stock online, but if there's a Fry's near you, worth a trip out there.
I'll shoot with it on my camera and camcorder for the next few days and report back to let you guys know if it last in the long run. I don't see why not, but we'll see. The rebate is only $5.00, but as they say, "A penny is still a penny."
Here's a picture of the casing if any of you are interested in picking one up. Took me awhile to find it myself.
