Path to Rivendell

This was taken near the top of a ridge line called Walden's Ridge. The path terminates at a local overlook called Buzzard's Bluff, I think every locale has an overlook by that name. Taken just after a storm had passed through. I processed hoping to convey the mood of the moment.

    Hey wendell,

Boy, you've got yourself a real winner here. The mood just drips off the trees in this one. Hell, I expect to see the Headless Horseman come charging down the trail. Really well done.thumb.gif

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks Tom, I figure folks will either like or hate this one, it's a little different. I hadn't thought about the Headless Horseman. I was feeling an Elfin Princess on her white steed coming through the mistmwink.gif. That's where I come up with the title ... Rivendell is the land of the Elves in Lord of the Rings.
    Thanks for looking and commenting.

Super nice. Makes me want to know what's at the end of the road. Heck, it makes me want to be there!

Thanks for the comment, happy you enjoyed it. Strangely no one has asked about the title. I thought someone may pick up on the name. I took it from The Lord of The Rings movies. Rivendell was the land of the Elves, a very enchanting land.

The image really captures the feeling of the scene. Feels like I am right there. Heck, I can almost smell and feel the dampness of the forest. Really nice job.

I totally got the reference, I just figured everyone else did, which is why I didn't comment. The thread title was actually the reason that I clicked.
