Question about conversion to European plugs

A friend of mine is going to Europe, and even Nikon doesn't have the info she needs. Can anyone tell me whether she will just need the adapter, or an actual transformer, for her Nikon s230 when traveling Europe?

It's been a long time since I've seen a piece of personal electronics equipment that wasn't compatible with both US and European voltages. Look at the back of the battery charger (or whatever device she wants to check) and, on the label, there will be a specification that looks something like 100V-240V AC50/60Hz. As long as the high number is 240ish (240, 250, etc.) she's all set and all she needs is a physical plug adapter.

My favorite all in one adapter is the Kensington 33117. If I'm running low on space I just carry a couple polarized mini plugs.

Looks like she'll be all set. According to Amazon the Nikon MH-63 is 100-240V (I'm hoping that's the proper charger for the S230).

Just be careful; not all european countries use the same type of plug
