    Kewl captures Jeff thumb.gifthumb.gif

Yep, that 2nd one is a Green Heron. If the light hits them right, their wings take on an irredescent green appearance. Sort of like those ruby throated hummers. Sometimes you can't see the red on their throats, but once the light hits it right it can blind you with it's brilliance :D Although it's usually much easier to get a different perspective on a hummer than a heron......lol Look for that green glow next time you see a greenie mwink.gif

Good captures Jeff especially the green. The green is not an easy one to capture.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Please........don't tell me they are green with envy because you are carrying a TC in your bag. ne_nau.gif

Nice pics and purdy bird. Can you put them in PS and turn that bird blue? I suppose it would just be easier to tell him you took his picture with a TC.. That'll make him blue. rolleyes1.gif

I wish you can persuade some of these herons to migrate to AZ :):

Oh man...now you tell me. That's BRILLIANT!!! I have been using stinky live fish to attract my birds. It makes a terrible mess of everything..and my poor camera bag stinks like..... )#@&%)#@*. eek7.gif

**makes note to self to pass on the live fish...and use birdseed next time**

    Thanks...great tip. So I don't need that TC after all..eh? thumb.gif
