My first butterfly catch. Any rules for photographing butterflies?

    The only rule I can think of right away is to keep doing exactly what you did.

    Hi Eia, that is a beautiful shot, I like everything about it. My only suggestion would be to soften the colors of the flower and the greenery just a touch. It tends to pull the eye away from your subject, the butterfly. Great job, can't wait to see your 2nd attempt.thumb.gif

    Thanks Wendell, actually I was just working on that. They do seem to compete. I'll have one that represents the true, brighter colors and one subdued.
