Mosaic?

I was wondering if anyone here makes mosaics. I just downloaded a shareware called "AndreaMosaic" to try my hand at these. Easy to use and the results are very pleasing.

Here is my first attempt. This is the chapel at Callaway Gardens. My family has spent a week here every summer for the past 10 years. This is a mosaic composed of every photo I have taken on our vacations!

    Mosaic?
My buddy did a bunch with some dirt bike racing shots. They turned out similarly well and IMO absolutely awesome.

    Nice work!!!

When my mom died a while back, I scanned up 10K photos for my siblings and extended family. Then made up this:

I forget the tool I used - they're all pretty good! This printed up great :D

Andy, that's a stunning mosaic of your mother. Thanks for sharing.

When I tried a mosaic of a portrait, I lost too much facial detail for my liking. I think the key to yours is the number of tiles. You have so many small tiles that you've maintained enough of the detail in the portrait.

Did you print your mosaic? If so, how large did you go? It needs to be large enough to make out the individual photo tiles.

Mitch, I printed it 40x30 for my father - it looks great. He loves it.
