Dolphins!

Had a phenomenal time in the Virgin Islands with a couple dolphins playing around my boat during unusually calm conditions a couple weeks ago. Full story, and a couple extra pics, are here.
#1 Approaching Dolphins
Looking in this direction, East, the lighting was just incredible. I went B&W because the contrasts were so high in this image, that I thought it suited B&W well.
#2 Underwater pals
This image, on the vast majority of days at sea, simply would not be possible. I shot it from my boat looking down at them as they raced by. The dolphins are a good three or four feet below the surface here, but there is almost no distortion due to the tranquil waters.
In post, I selectively dodged and burned to emphasize the creamy smooth glare of the water's surface and the darkness of the depths. I wanted the viewer to realize that they were not simply looking at an underwater shot, but that their eyes were piercing through the surface and seeing underneath it.
#3 Follow Us!
Due to the extremely bright but diffused cloudy light, there was no way to get this shot without completely clipping the sky and horizon. So, I decided to use it and make it a part of the photo. I think the dolphins leading you into a bright white light can be metaphoric in several ways.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
