Jumping Spider

Spotted this wee beastie on the arm of the new garden bench. He must have decided to come and investigate the new furniture (£35 worth from the local supermarket, lol) but it'll be nice to sit out in the summer.

Even for spiders.

Measured about 3mm this one, but the evening light was dull and overcast and jumping spiders certainly are amongst the most skittish! Had to use the ringflash, but the eyes are OK even with the flash in them.

C&C as always encouraged.

I considered a horizontal crop too.

There was another one I managed when I moved the camera - again this edit includes plenty of bench...

Hey Paul, your lucky to have "jumpy" cooperate. I have one hanging around the back patio and always hides when approached. One day...

I had to keep putting my hand in front of it so that it wouldn't run away! Laughing.gif... :)

I think the ring highlights would actually be very easy to clone out. I like the last shot, best.

Super shots as always Paul.. Would not Content Aware be a more suitable option?

I can always have a play with the cloning if you wanted to send me the TIFS or even just the JPEGS mate.

Hey Paul, I like #2, did you use any teleconvertor or extension tube? The spider looks huge :D

Why doesn't you guys like the ringflash on the spider eyes? Is it because it doesn't look natural? I think it looks cool and I like it but that's just my opinion.
