Band promo shoot/pricing for newly signed band...

Ok a little back-story... we are typically day-rate wedding photographers but dabble in family photography during the weekdays. Recently we did a highly discounted photo session offer (designed for family sessions) and got a call from a manager of a local Las Vegas band - they aren't happy with their "current' photog and figured for our discounted price, they'd give us a shot. We decided to take the gig, charged them a little extra for the special location, and are hoping to make some after-sales...

Come to find out, in the last couple weeks since we booked this, the band was signed by a major label! So now they are looking for even more photos than they/we expected.

So today we shoot at an abandoned warehouse, etc. etc. (details of the shoot not really pertinent)

If they like our photos they (or the record company) may want to buy rights to use some on their promotional materials: website, fliers, CD Liner/cover, etc.

For those that may be involved in this kind of stuff, just FYI we have no real desire to do this regularly so we won't be out trying to compete with you! But I have a few questions:

1. Who do we deal with to sell the photos? The band? the manager? The record company?

2. What about pricing? To be honest, we'd rather just keep the ownership and license them full rights for use of the photo(s) for whatever use they want... sort of an "umbrella" license. So how much per image?

I know the record company has a budget for this kind of stuff, and the record company is in L.A. so they are probably used to BIG bucks... but we may end up having to work with the manager or even the band (who are poor, as all newly signed bands are).

FYI, it's a "Screamo" style band, so they won't be the next Led Zepplin and they wont' sell 2 million records... but hell they are a signed band :)
