I'll start with this one, shot on an overcast day and then processed to add shadows and drama.

I put this together when I was first starting to get into photography. All shots were from a P&S. I know it's not all that great, but it has sentimental value. rolleyes1.gif

    Lee, great idea!

Richard--i can see why your door compilation has sentimental value--it's something I'd be proud of--with a P&S no less :)

Ok mine is a different take on the theme--but it's all I have :)

    Richard,

Your second shot reminds me very much of a guy here in Jacksonville. He scours the old world, buying nothing but old doors. The last time I was in his shop, He had about 150 of them in inventory.

    Loving this thread.
Lee I do believe that's my first official "bowdown.gif"--thank you!

Some really cool doors, some new ones and some favorites from the past.

Lee that doors to infinity is just fantastic.
Andman I remember this one, I like the treatment and shot, you knew it was a favorite back then.

Niepce--this reminds me of the forest shot from "the Wizard of Oz" when Dorothy first opens the door.

    Invisible--it's so you!:D

    Want to see more.

I was shooting this door when someone opened it from inside and I had to clone them out of the black space.
The color wasn't that great but the doorway was interesting so I made this B&W.

Boy, Lee, this one is another great shot. I love the colors and the composition.....and I won't ask the obvious.:D

Your eye and talent for this kind of photography is really outstanding. I can't help but to keep returning to the second door image you posted on this thread. That is, to me, the very best inside architectural shot I've ever seen.

Thank you very much, Tom, for those very kind words.

A small note about the second shot I posted: If you look very, very closely, you can see that when you reach Infinity, you get to sit on a bench. :D

Here is a series of shots I took of doors while walking though San Francisco, not far from Coit Tower:
