Very nice images. I like the background and colors on these woodies.
My favorites being #1 and #3, especially #1 since you can see the colorful patch on the cheek.
This is one tough bird to expose with bright whites and very dark blacks.
I would suggest to shoot them a little earlier in the day, when the light is softer.
This way you will get more detail on both ends of the spectrum.
Wow Dennis,# 3 is easily my favorite. It is in a different position than the standard #1 but I would be thrilled with any of these fantastic shots. I thought your chickadee shots were great but I will have to keep you on my radar as I have loved all your work.

Luisv, thanks for your comments on these images of the Wood Ducks and glad that you liked them. I agree that the exposures are hard for these birds at times, but in the right lighting should be just fine. These images where taken in the early morning when the light was coming through the pond and thanks four suggestion I will keep that in mind.

Hi Deb, thanks for your comments about #3 Weird pose, but I really liked that image as well not the typical shot of the Wood Ducks. I hope that some day you will be able to capture these beautiful ducks that you would be thrilled about. Oh the Chickadee images I remember those images, they where really nice images I posted. You can keep me under your radar, and thank you for the compliments and glad that you enjoy my work.

The first one would be my pick.
Thanks Mike for your comments on this set, and the first one I agree with is the best one in this series.

Hi Ric, they are a vivid bird to photograph, and I'm with you and Mike on the first one being the best in this set. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for the comments on these birds and I agree the colours on these ducks are great. I think these are one the the best looking of the ducks.

Hi Dan and thanks, I'm sure there are a whole bunch of others that love them as well. They sure are neat.

Thanks Glen, glad that you liked the 2 last ones, most like the first one for the reflection in the water.
