Hey,

OK - I am about to sell my first prints - EVER! Also, this group want to put some of my pics on their site. So, that would mean they would need to download a file, correct?

So, I understand that when they order a print, they selct the print size, and pay the amount I inputted for that size.

In regard to them downloading a file, how do I make an adjustment - or know what adjustment to make - so that the client gets the specific size I want? SO, say they wish to use it for Internet viewing, can you give me a suggested file size?

Thx, Tom

Appreciate the help, but I don't know what that means.

You can set up your print sales so that when a customer submits an order it is not immediately fulfilled, it is "proof delayed" by a number of days that you select. That gives you a chance to look at the order before before it is printed. You can release the order or make changes to it, for example fixup the cropping the customer might have selected or upload a higher resolution image for the printer to use.

However proof delay is not available for download sales.

When you sell digital downloads, you can offer three different sizes (1MB, 4MB and original). You decide (via pricing) which of these are offered. Smugmug will automatically create the two smaller sizes from your original and when the customer buys one of the smaller sizes, that's what they will be given a download link for. You don't have to do anything other than upload your original, set your prices to determine what is offered for sale and attract customers to your site.
