Well no- a red damselfly emerging from it's larval case. Some different angles taken with me leaning over the pond, camera in right hand, trying to clear the foliage and get an angle on the damselfly larvae with my lefthand. Eventually decided there was a high likelyhood of me dropping the camera in the pond .

Did not watch this one for the whole cycles but did another one. Takes about 25 mins from start of anything noticeable happening until the damsel fully leaves the old nymph case. Then get 30 mins wing elongation, 30 mins abdomen elongation and about 2 hours final drying before it's ready for it's maiden flight.
