I took a literal approach to the spiral challenge.
I thought about cropping out the top quarter as the light may be distracting.
c&c please. Thanks.

You're photo looks great. I like the texture and composition, especially as the light touches the stairs and as the eye goes upward the last of the light leads the focus out of the picture. The light doesn't look harsh or blown out. Where did you find the stairs? JustPeachy2

The stairs are at an old fort in Halifax called Citadel Hill/Fort George

It's nice. I feel like it could benefit by you zooming out a bit to catch the bottom of the spiral + some etra space.

I think I agree about more space at the bottom. My eye started in the middle, moved up, and then down to the spiral. Excellent light and detail.

    Thanks for the comments everyone.
I guess I can't enter it though, as being a newb, I failed to realize that the shots have to be taken during the contest period (which makes total sense). This was taken last weekend when I visited Hali.

Oh well, it was still nice to get some critique.
