An off the beaten path creek with lush greens. I spent a few days in the Columbia Gorge area. More photos forthcoming. Thanks for having a look! Critiques welcome.

Oh-- very nice photo! Your use of that log on the left is great and the composition is perfect too. Hope you didn't slip on those rocks getting this shot!

Nice Gorge find, where is that? My summer project is to shoot as many waterfalls in the Gorge between me and Ptown as possible.

Very nice shot, love the greens

    Chris- this is fantastic!

I'd like to know more about your process. The detail and depth is great. Is this multiple exposures or a single?

Great shot! I was in the Gorge last Friday, it's amazing how green it is in Spring. The water isn't flowing nearly as heavy as this time last year, but that makes the creek wading shots a little more manageable :D

Thank you for the kind remarks. To tell you the truth I was taken there by someone who lives nearby and couldn't find it again if I wanted. It was in the town of Cascade Locks, up a long dirt road. As far as my processing, it was a single exposure. I made some RAW adjustments in Lightroom and in PS I selectively dodged and burned to lead the eye along the creek. I softened the background a bit, too. I did visit Fairy Falls as well and am going to post a shot from there in a new thread in just a sec. Believe it or not, I didn't adjust the saturation one bit. As Ron said, the greens really were that green!

Great capture Chris. It nice to see people making awesome photos mostly in camera. Alot of people would feel they had to do HDR to get a shot as nice as this.

Thanks everyone. I'm not really into HDR so it really makes me think carefully about the conditions to get the right exposure in camera. I find that makes the processing much easier. I finished processing a few more from this trip and posted a few in a new thread. Thanks again for all your nice comments.
