Homepage slideshow fetching photos from the wrong place ?

Hey everybody. I've just started working on my site, so everything is very rudimentary at the moment (basic copy/paste CSS/HTML). One of the things I've done is to not show the galleries on the homepage and have turned the slideshow on only. In the slideshow preferences I set it to fetch photos from my "budapest" gallery, but for some reason, it seems to be showing photos from the other two galleries I've got, as well.

You can see in the attached image how my slideshow preferences are set. Since I'm really just learning my way around SM, I've been using every means necessary in order to achieve different results , so I might have done something to make this happen, but I wouldn't know what that is.

Anyway, this is just one of the issues I'm currently facing, and do expect more [issues] to pop up. For the record, I was planning on creating a hidden gallery to use solely for my slideshow on the homepage. While this should ultimately alleviate this current issue, I'm still very curious to know what's up, so that I have a better understanding of SM's software in general.

I deleted my previous comment/questions. I found the issue. It was related to "smart galleries"

In regards to using the slideshow view on visitor galleries, is it possible to get rid of the thumbnails strip that drops down when you hover your mouse over the main photo ? I find its presence to be a bit of a nuisance and a distraction. I've heard the same from others' as well.
