The weather up here is finally decent! We are still in the throws of a drought, but at least we are in the 80's instead of the 90's that we've had for over a month coupled with no rain.

Mine go out in the middle of the lake while I watch helplessly.
There will be a bunch come through later, don't remember which month, on their way to Mexico. I don't know why but they stay still in mass.
I photographed them last year.
It is beautiful to walk around with butterflys flitting to and fro. I think. And the dragons. They do land sometimes and I do try. I might have a couple I could show, but they are sitting on a rope. People here are getting better dragons. The last ones I got were with my 300 lens, w extender, of all things. Now that I am getting rid of it, I find out that it has macro.

Wonderful shots, as I said.

I prefer a zoom for this kind of shooting. One needs to move about as little as possible. Let them come to you instead of you chasing them!

It was hot out, so I only took 20 shots. I like taking close shots with a long lens!
...I think the rest of the butterfly may be on the grill of my Envoy!!!
