Aperture hung on me

I've got a big Aperture (2.x) problem. Apparantly BOTH of my card readers have died on me. Or, I've got some funky issue since upgrading to Snow Leopard. BUT.... when Aperture froze up trying to import photos I had to force it to quit. I just didn't have any choice. Now when I restart Aperture its on that same Project and I just get a spinning beach ball.

What to do....

How can I get Aperture to restore from the Vault if I can't get it to even start?

Hold the shift key down when you launch Aperture.

Hold the "OPTION" and the "COMMAND (apple)" keys at the same time when starting Aperture. A menu should pop up. Choose repair permissions. When Aperture starts up...even if it runs okay quit it. Do the same thing again but now choose repair database.

    Good luck.

    I think that helped! Thanks.

Is this something peculiar to V2? Or does V3 have the same issue?

I have never had it happen before and I have use Aperture 2 since it came out and upgraded to Aperture 3 when it came out. It was odd.

Now I just use the "option-command" on a regular basis just to make sure the database is the way it should be.

Thanks. I'll try that to be sure.
