I got some new lights for the studio, and the wife was nice enough to sit for me for a short time today.

    Your wife has a very kind face. Lucky you. There's something about the hair light camera right that seems harsh to me - but it doesn't affect the soft light on her face. Have fun playing.

    I like this very much. You've got a nice soft light on her face that doesn't leave any harsh shadows. And... I think the hair light is a little brighter than most, but I like it in this shot! Good job!

    The reason the hair light was so bright is because it's right behind her head.
    I don't have a short stand (yet) to get the light at a lower angle.
    I had the hair light very close to it lowest setting.
    I'll try a lower power next time.

    Nice image of the Boss. Great lighting. About time she cowboy'd up and got in front of the camera. :D
