Local Dirt Track Racing

Picked up a 50D on Friday and was out playin in the dirt with it Saturday. To me it is a huge upgrade from the Rebel XT. 3 shots to share.
This one was shot early in the evening, actually the 7th click on the camera. I was stunned at how much detail I could see on the 3" LCD.
Next was putting the flash on. The XT was ok and seemed to get the job done, but this was a different level of "getting the job done."
Realizing that I don't see a lot of local racing period on here, much less dirt track racing, I don't have too much to compare my work to. With this next picture, I realize that it is a lot harder than most any other type of photography. Poor lighting, not many places for different/fresh angles, and quiet honestly, not very safe. I ALWAYS put my safety ahead of the shot as my life is worth a lot more than a chance for a great racing shot. With these types of cars, there can be a lot of chrome and reflective decals which kill almost any chance of getting a good shot. Again, the 50D impressed me as the XT would have just completely not got this shot.
Anyway, I had a blast as always and would love to hear what you think. This weekend I have a chance to up the anty a bit and photograph a national traveling series at two tracks on two nights, USMTS (United States Modified Touring Series).
