This last week was the first GO BIG! FMX comp to be held in Japan this year. It was held up in Samegawa, which is a LONG way north from Kyoto, but much worth the trip. The competition was held over two days, with qualifying rounds on the first and the main event on the second day. As the weather on the first day was MUCH better than the second, I find the shots I got on the first day to be better. But you judge for yourself.

Also, there are lots lots more photos on my site here: http://jason-halayko.smugmug.com/FMX/FMX-2010
Check um out if you have time. And C&C is always welcome and appreciated.

Very cool. Love the Daise sunset shot and the last one. Looks like a rough background to work with though.

Thanks for the comment, and ya, I was having a hard time with these hills and ugly trees. I much prefer a nice blue sky in the back, but I guess you can't get that every time.

I think you have some good angles here. The only comment I have is to expose for the rider/bike instead of overall exposure for the image.

I kinda like the "edgy" background and Sato-san's picture. Pretty cool!

Thanks allot. Ya, I guess the riders are a little dark in some of the images, but I tend to like a bit of a darker rider but nice sky than a light rider and blown out sky. But I will see if I can get a n even medium at the next event in a couple of weeks. Cheers.
