I will presume that you mean CS4!

Is the camera supported by your version, are you running the latest "dot" release?

If that camera model is not supported by your current/upgraded "dot" release of ACR, then you will need the next full version, which would come with CS5 - or perhaps the new Lightroom when it comes out if you don't need the new Photoshop.

Another alternative would be to download the latest DNG converter for CS5, and convert the .crw or whatever raw files into .dng and see if your version of Photoshop can use the .dng files.

Yet another alternative is to look for another raw processor if the previous Adobe options do not work for you.

You should be able to open 5DII raw files in CS4. Check to see that you have the most recent version of ACR that Adobe offers for CS4 and if not, install it.

Adobe Camera Raw for CS4 opens 5DMkII files fine - but it did not as shipped.

The ACR must be updated via Adobe, like Richard said.
