Maybe? Shot it a few months ago, and keep coming back to it. But I'm not sure why.:rofl

    It's dark. It's emotive. Yes.

I'll give it a yes but not 'hell yes.' As Jen said, it's dark and emotive but I do get a little lost in the empty space up top.

Half yes for me rolleyes1.gif IMHO the upper section especially the street lamps are disctracting and takes away the focus from the subject crossing the street. All in all looks good though.

I'm undecided (mainly because I typically don't "Get" street photography), but I do disagree with kalye's comment... the flare from the street lamps is what helps with the composition, the angle and also they basically "point" at the subjects. Without the lights, I dont' think most people would even see the subject.

I'm not sure why either! rolleyes1.gif

J/K, I actually like this shot. Might work better if cropped 3/4" to the right, 1.5" to the left, 1" from the bottom and slight shadow fill. Cheers.

This to me is a shot that requires several looks.

At first glance I say no.
After a couple visits, I say maybe.

There are some parts of this image I like but for now I don't like the wipers.

    I'll be back :D

I like it. The wipers and bit of dash give me the point of view perspective. Without that bit it's just a couple of people crossing the street.

I like it, I keep coming back to it.
The flare from the street lamps, the fact that the woman is caught in the glare of the car headlights,
and it seems as if they are running from something. I have to wonder from what?

Yes! Mysterious mood shot of two women caught in your headlights rushing off to who knows where? The streetlight flare adds to the sense of isolation or seediness of the setting.

rolleyes1.gifrofl (I WAS stopped at the light. mwink.gif)

Thank you all for the thoughts and comments. As you can see from the slushy snow on the left of the crosswalk, I, too, keep coming back to this. I certainly agree with Patti about the wipers and dashboard. And with many of the other comments. But I think that Brewster's comment probably best captures what I guess I saw and see in it...
