Hi all... I have been a member of FM for the longest. I was driven here, by my site being down for a bit. After a bit of lurking, I registered and really like the site so far.
here are a couple of shots from this past weekends trip to Cape May, NJ. Comments and critique appreciated...
Taken before the beach got crowded (7AM) the parts on the left that look blown out slighty is actually from early morning dew that formed on my lens, as soon as I pulled the cap.
This was taken with the 100-400 while on a very unfulfilling whale watch.

Do you live in New Jersey? I'd love to see some photos of the old Victorian houses in Cape May..

Welcome to DGrin!
I like that lifeboat as a subject. Centered like that doesn't work for me, but nonetheless, it sure has lots of charachter in settings like this. Looks like something that could be a study subject in different light, weather, and times of the year.

I also really like the life boat shot. Your dew problem on the left side could be used to advantage if you could replicate it on all sides and give it an old photo feel. Age it to a 1900's era.
Just a suggestion and welcome to DGrin,
Chris
