Dreaming of a way to set things

I am on a laptop with a 15in, 1024 X 768 screen and have been dreaming of ways to able to set things. Would like to be able to have the text in a thread set large enough to be easy to read and have it break the lines so that it could be read WITHOUT scrolling. Would like AT THE SAME TIME to have the photos in the thread set to fit on my screen.
It has been a dream ever since I joined! Don't know of a better place to bring this up but, if there is one, of course feel free to move.
