Playing with Golden Spirals

Had a minor brainwave this evening so I thought I'd give this a try for the fun of it.
At the moment I still prefer my light based s-curve but I figured I'd post these attempts to see what people think.
C&C appreciated, even if its only to say what a waste of candle wax.
I may try a re-shoot if I get chance tomorrow.

I like these better than your lights on road shot--because there are already a couple of other "road" shots in the gallery and it's hard to stand out, you know what I mean.
As for these--I like that you put something inside the spiral--a target of sorts, but those two candles don't do it for me. It's anticlimactic--though I do like the idea.
Out of shot one and two, I like one best--no harsh shadows like in #2, just wish there was something in the target area.

Love this idea. I like 2 and a tight square crop is cool. Maybe taller candles in target area? Or something not lit, but being lit by surrounding candles?
Btw, I think your road shot rocks and now you have a tough choice!

…although I think I prefer the "fuller" look of #1. I find that the low-angle v.p. of #2 makes it difficult to see exactly what is going on.
As to the f-clef… I'm a musician (double-bass) and on one of the (many) bulletin boards, my avatar is based on this.
Thanks for sharing, and I look forward to seeing how your ideas develop…
