    "Do Not Cross" ....No kidding! Looks like a seige mentality to me.
    City Hall, no less. What was the occasion?
    Good catch, I'm suprised they let you get that close to the barricade.

    They were prepared for a siege mentality, but it did not turn tense or ugly. This was the S. F. May Day march/rally that is always tame, but there was a "Tea Party" type counterprotest planned (turned out to be small at around 20 - 30 people). The main rally was in the plaza across the street while the counter group was just to their left on their side of the street.

    Rainbow, very nice capture. The police did look intense. Just one comment, I think the atmosphere will be even more intimidated if the right most two guys are cropped. The attention now is diluted by the light uniform guard and the different structure of the building. Just my 2 cents.
