Double tonemapping an HDR image ala Trey Ratcliff really emphasizes the otherwise subtle differences in colors/tones in an image. This is a 5 exposure HDR tonemapped twice with Photomatix Detail Enhancer.

    Oh i like it in black and white. I like the color too though. I do wish we could see a bit more of the writing over his head but overall I like it!

    I think I prefer the color too. The B&W almost looks metallic. HDR photos converted to B&W shouldn't work, since the tone mapping often brings all the different parts of the photo to an even tonal level. But occasionally, it will work and look pretty cool.

    This was done starting with a diferent original. I think I prefer this one.
