Old Leather

Hi, had a look around an old saw mill in Strahan on the west coast of Tasmania. There was so much 'junk' hanging on the walls it was like aladdin's cave. There was a hole in the roof which allowed a shaft of sunlight to land on this old leather strap work.

C&C always appreciated.

Cheers, Richard

Killer light here, can't think of a better way to light this subject. Really nice.

Very nice shot with great light, I can almost smell the musty leather ... and yes there is some rust.

Hi Federico / Wendell, the lighting was a 'gift', I was in the right place at the right time (for once!). Thanks for your kind comments.

Yes, you're right - you've seen the 'stuff' as well - great place. Just finished reading the book "Closing Hells Gates" - all about Sarah Island.

    Cheers, Richard.

I went there too (and you?) and it has an incredible history, as you've read!

Hi Azzaro, when I saw all this hanging on the wall I thought of some of the shots that you had taken in the past - glad you liked it.

    Cheers, Richard.
