Tripod quick release plate missing!

Hi,
I just bought a Miranda Pro Video 1 Tripod with the intention of using it with my Canon 400d. I only paid a couple of quid for it, but when I got home I noticed the quick release plate was missing - there's just a rectangular space with a sprung loaded lever. Presumably the plate is still with the camera the tripod was used with before!
Anyway, does anyone know where I might locate a plate for this - the hole is square, 40mm on a side, and about 10mm deep. Obviously I don't want to pay a lot, as I only paid a couple of quid for the tripod itself, but it's more sturdy than the one I already have.
Thanks

The tripod manufacturers don't make it easy because at the entry level there are tons of different designs and sizes with no common base.
You might try to size the plate at this site, but I would not recommend purchasing through them as they seem fly-by-night:

Thanks for that - I think I may have found one that fits...just got to decide to buy it, although I am going to wait a short while as I know a man with a million odds and ends of camera equipment (I'd forgotten about him when I made this post) - I'll see if he has one, first!
