Check your smugmug strap

Just by happenstance today I noticed one of the clips on my SmugMug strap it was broken. :cry There was enough friction from the other parts so that it didn't end up slipping and dropping anything but I did add a knot to the end of it as a stopgap until I replace it. I guess I should always check stuff like this every time I use it.

In the end I replaced my SmugMug strap with the Canon strap that came with the camera. :(: I figured it didn't make much sense depending a some strap stays and a ill-formed slipknot hold off the forces of gravity.

The Canon strap has the same kind of plastic strap adjusters and except for the fact the they are narrower than the SmugMug ones because the Canon strap is narrower, they look about the same.

If you'd like a replacement SM strap, I have a brandy new one I've never used because I had gotten my Black Rapid strap while I was waiting for the SM strap. Just pm me your address if you'd like it.

Thanks, but I think I'm going to go the BR route myself.

You'll never look back. The BR strap is addictive... thumb.gif
