First time out with my new DA 35mm 2.8 Macro. Strange lens, a 1:1 macro in a normal focal length. All but one were handheld. Hard to get a feel for depth of field compared to my previous 90mm macro, where there was none. :lol3
Appreciate any thoughts on composition and technique

Technically the DOF at the same magnification and aperture should be about the same as your 90mm lens but OOF background items will more recognisable, so it may look as if you are getting more DOF with the shorter lens.
