Can you ID this Raptor?

Can anyone ID this Raptor? I was shooting with Jeff and we found him at Bolsa Chica. They're quite shy and won't let you get too close to them.

Shot on an overcast day, D2H, Nikkor 300 f/4 + TC14E.

Nice shot and exposure. I especially like the tree branches criss crossing the background.

I like the little foot tucked up on his tummy, I always like that.

I would suspect he is young, just getting mature colors, so I can't ID, sorry.

    Harry probably can.

Great capturethumb.gif Your exposure is on the mark in very difficult lighting. Good detail in the shot.

It looks like a juvenile Red-tailed Hawk.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Nice capture...real purdy birdy. Well done. I think it's related to the night heron...and an egret. 1drink.gif **hickup**
