Hi! I'd love to help you. On what website (link)? What browser are you using?
Thank you for your reply. I was using Firefox. Apparently, it was just some sort of temporary oddity. I logged out, closed my browser and logged in again, and all was well. I had tried logging out already when I posted this question, but I had not tried closing the browser altogether; that seemed to do the trick. Thank you again!!
Windows sometimes thinks the control or shift key is being held down when it isn't, that can cause issues like that. If it happens again, try pressing your shift and control keys several times, that will sometimes "unstick" it. (Holding down Shift or Ctrl while clicking a link will cause it to open in a new tab/window)
