keywords kinda not working

I'm sure glad I did some more looking around in the forums for answers to my questions but still have some lingering issues.
I am having trouble seeing keywords when not logged in, or as the general public would see my site. I just realized after reading this thread that I needed to turn on Hello Smuggers for galleries that I wanted to show keywords to.
And now that I've done that I can see keywords on the gallery page, as in this example:

but when I click on the keyword "front angle" it doesn't show any photos. I'm going to assume that I maybe need to give the smug servers some time to get things settled since the behavior I see now is a little different than 5 minutes ago.
But more importantly when I click my link in my navbar for SEARCH I get a totally blank screen for keywords results.
For the record I have Enabled Filename Keywording in my Site-wide Features section of the Settings tab of the control panel. I did that few days ago thinking it would make keywords show up to general users, but was wrong until I found the grin thread mentioned at the beginning of this post.
Ok I hope I provided enough details, sorry I'm in need of sleep as I write this but wanted to get it done now hoping that things will just work when I wake up or there will be some helpful response guiding me in the right direction. I've learned a lot on this forum and really got my site whipped into shape this weekend.
I can't go to bed without giving praise to whoever implemented the NavBar builder in the Easy Customizer! I planned to spend all day Saturday buidling that from scratch according to one of the FAQs here but that tool made it painless, I got to play more Halo Reach Beta instead of coding!!!

Actually, I do see almost all keywords if I view your keyword page (linked via search) as a visitor:
I noticed one keyword not showing (there's probably more) for visitors by the name 80pct which is simply due to the fact that the photo with the keyword is in an unlisted gallery. Keywords for photos from unlisted and / or password protected galleries don't show and are not usable by visitors. Same applies if you have a gallery set to 'hello smuggers no'.
The fact that you saw the keywords page empty earlier is probably simply due to the fact that indexing takes some time. Now it seems to be all finished.
