Any money to be made in scanning?

Hi;
Do you think there is any money to be made in scanning old photos and putting them on CD/DVD or allowing customers to upload on a secure website?
If so, what kind of resolution would I need for a scanner?
I currently own a Canon Canoscan 8400F, but it's not going to last much longer, so I would need to buy a new one before getting into this.
I use Photoshop 7, which is outdated, but for simple retouching it will do fine.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks
FW
