    I am amazed to be included in the finals. I didn't expect it since there were so many great shots.

    The grapes look like an easy subject, but let me tell you, those grapes didn't want to stay on the vine and I had grapes rolling all over my floor. Any slight adjustment of the vine and they went rolling again. I had to prop the loose ones on there and actually thought about using glue or pins. I finally ended up just using patience (lots of it).

    Congrats to all the finalists..but I must say I was disppointed to not see a few of my favorites here...Ahhhh, those blind judges (I've been one and I know how hard it is!) Ten sounds like a lot, but among some truly astounding entries 10 doesn't do them all justice! So anyway...I send my congrats to the whole #50 gallery as well! :D

    Congratulations liflander for the DSS #50 Winning Photo.
    This has been a really close round for everyone. The votes were spread pretty evenly and this shows that we had some really high quality entries this round as usual. It has been very exciting with the Sudden Death Vote-off and all. We all got sent on a curvy spiral ride this round, it was very impressive how each of you approached the theme, some really beautiful images were the result!
