These nomada bees are cuckoo bees using the nests of miner bees - so you have to have miner bees around to find them.

I'm pretty useless on bee IDs - the above Nomada has been ID'd as Nomada marshamella and the one below as Nomada fabriciana.
For Uk bees the wild about britain site is good for IDs but you do have to upload photos to their site - http://www.wildaboutbritain.co.uk/forums/

Thanks Brian. I have tried that group and they told me it is not posible for them to get at species level. Mind you one person did point me at a species but with the other comments coming in I thought it best to name the family only. Looking objectively though, there are at least two species in my collection which are obviously different.
