OK, things are bit slow around here these days, rain, clouds, wind you name it, and yet the only birds still around are! Wood Ducks.

Thanks Ric for the comments, but yours are not doody at all, that second image is sweet and not often you see them out of the water, so that makes it a sweet shot. How am I doing so far, feeling better I hope.

Thanks Dan for your comments and these ducks are very funny. We are just lucky enough to have them here and they are only feet from us. I guess it'[s to hot for them out your way.

It's funny what birds are "ho hum" one place and in another everyone would be excited .... Send a few "close" Woodies this way Dennis. Our's are skittish and long range.

Great images ... have to agree on male #4 and the female portrait ... super!!!!

Hi Bob, and thank you for your comments, and I hear this all the time that in some places they are so skittish and out of range, in this park, we had around 10 or so today within 6 feet from us, and last weekend we had around 20 of them and the same thing. I think that if could I would after all there are enough of them around this area.

Bring about of crushed corn, or un-salted peanuts and see if that will bring them in closer for you, they will dive for this stuff.
